Cellular Hydration

When we think about hydration, our cells do not usually come to mind-but they should.

All life-sustaining activity begins at the cellular level. Our cells are where the food we eat and the water we drink are turned into the energy (metabolism), and one of the most effective ways we can support our cells is by ensuring proper cellular hydration.

Hydrated cells are high-functioning, efficient and able to produce the energy needed to carry out the billions of biochemical functions for maintenance and repair of healthy tissues.

Believe it or not, cells need to maintain their shape to function optimally. Cellular shrinkage can cause cells to malfunction.

When we are dehydrated, our body will pull water out of cells to satisfy the deficit, diminishing cellular function which leads to disease and accelerates the aging.

There are some pretty awesome ways to maintain cellular hydration beyond just drinking water:
